Today, my brother, Kyle Johnson, is celebrating his 30th birthday! In honor of this special occasion, I wanted to share the following: 30 things I appreciate about Kyle Johnson: 1. That he chose Kim to be his wife 2. That he loves being a daddy 3. That he doesn’t conform to the standards or expectations of others; He’s his own person 4. His tattoos 5. His love of Chicago Blackhawks hockey 6. His willingness to lend a helping hand 7. That he reads bedtime stories to his son 8. His service to our country and the U.S. Navy 9. That he deeply loves and is devoted to Kim 10. His devotion to the Chicago White Sox 11. That he values his friends and makes time for them 12. That he has to have Casey’s pizza when he comes “home” to Illinois 13. His Blackhawks goal dance 14. That he taught his son the Blackhawks goal dance 15. The many trips we have taken together to Chicago 16. His faith and trust in and devotion to God 17. His willingness to listen 18. That he loves “The Muppet Movie” 19. That he takes time, along with Carter, almost every week, to Skype with Mom and Dad 20. His even temperament 21. His ability to raise one eyebrow, then raise the other--going back and forth 22. That he regularly takes Carter to the park 23. His appreciation of Barry Manilow music 24. That he enjoys playing golf, just like our grandpa did 25. His honesty 26. That he respects our parents 27. His love for the game of soccer 28. That he sends photos and videos of Carter from his cell phone 29. That he and I, along with our brother, are now in our thirties at the same time 30. That God allowed Kyle Johnson to be my brother
