Today my daughter Emily arrived with her husband and 4 beautiful grandchildren. It took them 45 minutes to clear customs and my wife was nearly in tears thinking they missed the plane. All is well, we are blessed. They are beautiful and wonderful. Velyn will post more pictures than anyone would want to see, but Im glad she does. Came home at 9:30 tonight after 4 hours with the Missionaries, Elders Millerburg and Rock, and 2 member missionaries, Marcella and Juan-Carlos. What an experience. Our investigator, Eva, with whom we have had 2 lessons - passed the word. We had her, her husband, her sister-in-law, Fabiola, and her dad, Martin. None of my friends on Facebook, would believe or really comprehend the setting, I will attempt to describe. In Concordia, atop a knoll, sun setting, plastic chairs gathered from at least 4 households (each dwelling about 20 feet apart, placed in the dirt yard in a circle. All dwellings are much worse than your worst sheds, but all of these people are happy and proud. After the prayer, tears in Evas eyes, and it just simply got better from there. All of us bore testimony of faith in God and His Son, Jesus Christ. My language skills are weak, but I attempted, and apologized, each said the understood perfectly what was in my heart - whew. After the lesson, the Elders invited them to attend conference, Martin is working, but the rest committed to go with us on Sunday Morning. So as if these events werent enough to last a long time - at least 2 weeks that my kids are here. I got home and read and looked at a very special Christmas gift, pictures and thoughts from Spencer and Darla (Emily brought it because it wasnt complete when we left). I want everyone to see it just so they understand what a special gift we have all been given - the gift of an eternal family.
