Today, my father wrote (SMS) to say he was in the area and asked me if Id like to visit. I replied that I had the flu, felt too ill to move, and would be in bed all day. He proceeded to call the Sheriffs office; whose officers jumped a locked gate, ignored no trespass warning signs, and destroyed my front door - _stating plainly that they had no search warrant nor any signed documentation to justify their incursion._ The Sheriffs office subsequently refused to replace the property they had destroyed, informing me that my father had lied to them about what I had said (in an apparent attempt to represent an emergency where there was none). Potential landowners take note: you might need to retain an attorney if you hold property in this jurisdiction.
