Today my great friend Randy Guyer asked me if I wanted to go to Mona Guyer another great friend and Randys wife retirement cake party at our Learning Center by the plant. I naturally jumped at the chance. It was great to be there to see this wonderful lady and friend of so many years and wish her well on her retirement. The nuclear power business if full of a lot of great people and it humbles me to have served with so many both in our Nuclear Navy and in the commercial operation of our plants. Mona served long and well working her way up from Shift Clerk through Senior Reactor Operator and as a Superintendent in Operations Support and thence as Superintendent in Training. Her standards for excellence and her integrity are an example of all of us and Linda Brossard and I wish her well in this next phase of her life. As Mr. Spock would say, Live long and prosper, Mona. Rest easy job well done my friend. Randy thanks again for asking me to go with you. I would not have missed it for anything. Cake was great too, I deliberately did not eat anything for lunch so I could have two pieces. And that Randy, what a sentimental chap, sent his love some beautiful roses for the day. Nice touch bro.
