Today my heart is heavy for and with my Ohio family, friends and community. Today they are laying to rest a good man. Mr. Steve Allen from Lore City, Ohio, passed away on June 3rd after a long and hard fight against cancer.. He has been a great friend of my father since I was just a boy. He served the citizens of Guernsey County as a Commissioner for many years, as well as a member of the Lore City Fire Department and several other public offices. He was the kind of man that would literally give you the shirt off of his back. My prayers are with the Allen family as well as with all Steves friends and colleagues. May he rest easy in the Kingdom of Heaven. God definitely has another Angel by his side.
