Today my son, Thomas Kissinger turns 16. It is amazing to me how fast the time flew by. I remember coming home on Christmas Eve with him, he was so tiny! I remember when he was a toddler how his giggle melted my heart, how he exclaimed Miss Ori, Miss Ori, a BUTTERFLY, and Auntie Twis, Auntie Twis, I need my gwubs! So many other things come to my mind... cooling off in the pool, you go to time-out! seeing him get dragged across the lawn by Pebbles, his 98-yard touchdown, yelling at him for climbing on the roof, how I could get a confession out of him with very little effort on my part, our very open conversations, how he accepted Zack as his little brother and encourages him, in-con-theev-able! and a thousand times around the moon and back. Thomas, I have been so proud of you all of your life. You are a blessing in so many ways. It has been awesome to see you grow into such a wonderful young man and now we enter the next phase - driving! I look forward to all of the other experiences of being your mom. You have so much potential and I know you are going to bring a lot of joy to the people in your life! Happy Birthday, Tommykins!
