Today my wife and I had to drop the kids off with their dad. On the way there I noticed the flag in the graveyard didnt look right. On the way back, I decided to stop in and investigate. The flag was only hanging by the bottom grommet.. I had to shimmy up the flag pole to unbind the rope. Lowered the flag and fixed the plastic clip they had on it. I raised the flag properly and now its beautiful. Those veterans in the graves deserve to have their flag tended to. I dont give a damn if theres 13 feet of snow and 20 below zero. Id be the guy out there fixing that flag regardless of the cost to myself. I dont want anyone to say thanks or anything like that.. Instead, I ask this: If you see a flag thats fouled, or not right, Please, take a moment to honor those who fight for that flag.. And fix it. It really makes you feel wonderful to do that for the ones who gave all! God Bless America! And Merry Christmas.
