Today, nearly eight decades ago, a son was born into this world who became a great husband, a fantastic dad, a teacher, a mentor, a civic leader, a spiritual guide, a provider, a leader, a brilliant mind and gentle heart, a strong arm and a soft hand, a hard worker and devoted friend. You were and are an intrepid entrepreneur and true family man, a citizen and patriot who knows this world is not his final destination, a tremendous good guarding against a myriad of evils, a covering and a counselor, an advocate and ally - a man among men. Happy Birthday, Nick Riley. For the thousands (and likely tens of thousands) whose lives you have personally touched in great and powerful ways, thank you for never giving up. We love you and honor you for the wisdom and love you have shown to all who know you. I didnt see until recently many of the things you showed by example, but I want you to know, by your words and your deeds you have displayed character and courage that men such as I hope to become. As Im sure your daughters Ronni, Connie, Tricia, Nicole, grandchildren Samantha, Tyler, Kindra, Stephanie, Avery, Sydney, Christian and countless more to whom you gave hope will confirm, you gave us all a glimpse of the Fathers love and an assurance that (though tough at times) men can be strong and gentle, kind and firm, and above all else put the needs of their family and friends above even their own.
