Today on: I Hate Having a Uterus Getting a Birth Control Implant at my local Planned Parenthood costs $960. It lasts for 3 years, so thats 320 a year. The birth control I was on (but cant be on any more because it reduces bone density and its not recommend for some of my age to be on it for more than three years) was $60 every three months so $240 a year. Now, maybe my insurance will cover the implant, maybe it wont. But it is really mind blowing how much money birth control costs.
