Today on Whispers, join Tsetsei George-Okoro as we discuss Mabels issue. Mabel is a student in one of the tertiary institutions and she has been engaged to Seun for sometime now. Their meeting was actually a controversial one . She was a runs-girl or one of those girls who slept with rich men for money. She met Seun on one of her escapades. Seun fell in love with her and they got talking. With time their relationship grew. He provided for her as much as he could. She made a promise to him to forsake her old lifestyle which she blamed on poverty. With time, Seun proposed to her. Unknown to Seun, Mabel continued with her old lifestyle. Then one day, unfortunately for her, she was pimped to one of Seuns friend -Benjamin and that was the beginning of her woes. She pleaded with Benjamin not to disclose what had transpired between the both of them to her fiancé. Benjamin told her that it would only be possible if she paid him an undisclosed amount of money. She did pay the money but not without difficulties. But that was just the beginning of the problem. Benjamin who knew how wealthy Seun is began to blackmail Mabel by extorting various sums from her. Right now Mabel is an unhappy young lady. She is no longer the boisterous young lady she used to be. She is afraid of letting the incident out cos she risks losing her relationship which she says is very dear to her heart. She has sinced stopped and changed from her old ways. But then she does not know what to do as this blackmail is still ongoing. She has paid dearly for her misdeeds according to her and cant risk losing everything.
