Today, on our morning walk, Lincoln suddenly thrust his snout into a bunch of tall grass near the river. He started wagging frantically... clearly onto something. We started to walk away and I thought he was done, and then he suddenly coiled like a spring and launched himself approximately 17 feet in the air. He landed by pouncing with his front feet... and sure enough something parted the grass slightly as it scuttled over the side of the river bank. Lincoln then trotted of happily, obviously proud of himself. I have to admit I was pretty impressed. Had it not been for all that thick grass Im pretty sure he would have emerged with something....
