Today, on the feast of St Francis Xavier, we pray for all missionaries; for Christians in Goa, India and Pakistan; for those undergoing surgery or other invasive procedures, and those who care for them; those who are overstretched financially; those with addictive behaviours, unable or unwilling as yet to seek help; for ourselves, that we may be quick to help, slow to judge and open to the needs of others.
