Today, our family and quite frankly the world lost an amazing man---I dont know when it will sink in that dad is watching over us rather than being with us, but the one thing that resonates from the people that loved him was what a GREAT hugger he was!!!!!! I think i will miss that the most. Dad had a way of hugging you with such love that you felt like nothing could ever hurt you---there was a gentleness, but also a strength with which he would hold you...its hard to explain, but those of us who were hugged by him, know what I mean. I know we will get thru this, I know it will take time, and I know that our lives and hearts will never be the same...Our tears are not for my dad but for ourselves that he is not there to hug us, to irritate (haha) us, to be the head of our family....too many things to mention, But I know that our Christmases, our holidays, our days of celebration will never be the same without him there to smile at what a loony group of people we are..While I know that he is in the arms of gram and grampie, his brothers, cecil, bill and bob, his sister, Helen and his nephew, John, I will be selfish here and say, we werent ready, but in time we will understand that he will always be watching over my mum, my brother, myself and those whose lives he touched and those he loved so dearly---Thank you for your prayers, There will be a memorial and I will let you all know the details when I get them
