Today our world flipped upside down. Our son saw the cardiologist and after thorough testing they found a whole in my baby boys heart. He has what is called Atrial Septal Defect. He was apparently born with it and by the grace of God hes alive and we caught it before it was too late. We are keeping an eye on him to make sure he doesnt develop a heart complication from the mono at this time. We are home and he doesnt show signs of distress. We pray it stays this way! He will need surgery in a few months. However, the procedures are so much less invasive then they used to be and we have top physicians here in Jackson. We will be meeting with a team of specialist in the upcoming weeks. We want to say thank you to my friends and family, and our church for the most sincere heartfelt words of wisdom and love! Seriously, we have needed every call and text.God has placed everyone of you in my path for a reason and today was just another example of that. Thank you Anna Schilling Griffin for reminding me of your humbling sons testimony today and encouraging me. I needed to speak to someone who has walked and is walking this heart path. Please everyone continue to pray for my boy. Hes the sweetest kid and a stranger to no one. He has a big heart!
