Today received information about a barn cat that has a broken back leg. Trooper was very resistant to going into the carrier then was trying his best to break free of it but then calmed down once in the car & was quiet the whole trip to our vet in Kitchener. He is remaining there for the results of his X-rays. Quite possible that this brave cat may be facing amputation. As for being a barn cat, for about a year he has been coming to an empty barn just before Shakespeare. He has been seen there about every month & the family that lives there have never fed them. Today she noticed his leg, and he came right to her from the bean field that he liked to lay in. When at the vet clinic he displayed no feral cat behaviour so thankfully being on his own for that length of time if not longer he still acts like a domesticated cat from my observation today. He will be vaccinated today, de flea & de worn plus FIV tested. I will post an update when I receive the results of his X-rays. He weighs close to 9 lbs
