Today, scrap recycling is gaining interest because of public awareness, legislative promotion, economic benefits and new technologies. America Recycles Day on November 15th is meant to remind people about the importance of recycling for the environment, as well as its benefit to the economy and job creation. In the U.S., 40-50 percent of raw materials for manufacturing are extracted from recycled scrap. Every year, around 3 million tons of electronics are recycled.
