Today, someone walking in a group of 4 or 5 young men stated loudly as I rode my bike past them Look at this fool whitey riding his bicycle in the street. Everyone laughed except me. I can assume three things about this exchange. 1) I was not laughing because I was trying to do my best to obey road laws and come to a stop at the intersection. 2) This young man hopes to become a stand-up comedian someday, and practices at every possible opportunity. I respect your drive, but your content needs some work, kid. Give it time; Rome wasnt built in a day. 3) This young man was being laughed at by his friends because they knew that bikes are vehicles and not pedestrians. As such, they are to be used in roadways and designated joint bicycle/pedestrian paths. Friendly reminder: Friends laugh at your bad jokes; Great friends laugh at you making a fool of yourself.
