Today started out like any other day for Hope and Mercy, the blind - TopicsExpress

Today started out like any other day for Hope and Mercy, the blind cats who came to us from Vietnam last spring after being used as practice subjects for vet students learning eye removal techniques. Little did they know they were about to began the next chapter of their lives! When Deborah C. read about Hope and Mercy on our Facebook page, her heart went out to them. She works as a vet tech and knew she could give this special pair a lifetime of love and special care. When she met them at their foster home last month, a bond was formed that will continue to grow stronger. Today the cats headed up to San Jose to start their new lives. We’d like to thank Robert Lucius and Vietnamese animal welfare organization Yeu Dong Vat for saving Hope and Mercy and helping them find their way to Animal Friends Rescue Project. We’d also like to thank Dr. Michelle Mehalick and foster volunteers Polaris and Taven Kinison-Brown for their exemplary care of these special cats. Hope and Mercy’s story has touched many hearts in both the U.S. and Vietnam, and we’ll continue to post updates on their progress in their new home.
