Today starts a two week road trip in hopes of some good auroras. First thing is in several hours catch a Helicopter and then a Jet out of here landing in Anchorage late in the day. Fuel up my beater somewhat trusty aurora chaser van and hit the road. Tonight Hatcher Pass, next day Denali Overlook and work my way towards Fairbanks. One of my great friends ( Bart ) will be there this weekend. As kids I used to take him on wild goose chase fishing trips. Poor guy he always came back for more. So we adopted each other as brothers. Anyways really looking forward to making him stay out all night during snow storms promising him the auroras will show.
