Today the Heritage Page sadly marks the passing of Amy Ellen Metz Preston who went to be with her maker on this day in 1960 after suffering a stroke while tending to her beloved garden. Born near Barton on 4-January-1874, she was the oldest child of William Jefferson Metz & Amy Ellen Poland. I urge all of you to go to the photo section on this page and on the Charles & Amy Preston Page to see for yourselves what a handsomely beautiful lady she was! And today on the ocassion of her death, instead of the Heritage Page telling of her life (well save that for her birthday), I wish for all those who were fortunately enough to know and remember her, to please leave a rememberance, a special story or just a passing remark on her life to help show all those who didnt have that opportunity, just what a special lady she was! Rest-in-Peace Grandma! You are still sorely missed by your family!
