Today the House of Representatives filed suit in the United States - TopicsExpress

Today the House of Representatives filed suit in the United States Court of Appeals against President Obama for his executive actions on immigration and his landmark healthcare legislation. First; this lawsuit is nothing more than a political stunt by the Republican Party to undermine the president. Second; even if the lawsuit held water, it would be struck down because the courts have decided that the Presidents use of executive action is well within his power. George W. Bush used more than 200 executive actions, Barack Obama has used just over 170. Third; the U.S. Supreme Court has already ruled that they will not be hearing the case as the questions are not justiciable, and are merely questions that politics should answer. In other words, the Supreme Court, including Justice Antonin Scalia, John Roberts, Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas have agreed that the President is well within his legal framework to act where Congress refuses.
