Today, the MN Department of Revenue refused to accept my quarterly tax payment electronically because I refused to answer the following question put forth by the Department of Homeland Security, "Will funding for this transaction be transmitted to or received from a financial agency located outside the territorial jurisdiction of the U.S.?". Obviously that information is irrelevant but more importantly it is none of their business. I attempted to remind them of the fourth amendment to the constitution of our country that we all live in, but they were unfamiliar with it. How creepy is this slow and steady erosion of our privacy and this surveillance state we have going on?
