Today: the SOTM tour ends after 11 months and 4 days around the world, from Paris to Istanbul to Tokyo to Melbourne to San Francisco to Malta. I went around the world with my boyfriend, became his fiancée, and neither of us killed each other in the process! Today we fly back to England to see Marios family, and next week we move into our apartment in London. Im looking forward to having some normalcy and not living out of a bag anymore. Im ready to hunker down and work on some big projects on the site and beyond. But Im also looking forward to getting back to solo travel. I started this site to encourage women to travel the world alone, and my aim had always been to be the person who you can tell your travel plans who will NOT tell you that youre crazy, but that youre brilliant. The site will continue to be a resource for solo travel for women as I continue to build it out and travel solo to Ireland, Slovenia, and Finland this summer. Thank you to the many people around the world who offered up their couches and spare rooms, who fed us, drove us, and showed us around their corner of the world. All of you who showed up for meetups and posed for SOTM photos with Mario. All the brands that became part of the trip. You all have my gratitude -- and an air bed in London.
