Today the Tuxedo Party had the opportunity to say thank you to Agriculture Minister Keith Colwell for implementing the recent changes to the Animal Protection Act in Nova Scotia. Minister Colwell received the prestigious Tuxedo Stans Do-Gooder Award. This award is granted to people who work hard to help animals in need. The people in the group photo are: Cathy MacKenzie, Kathy Chisholm, Cindy Murphy, Honourable Keith Colwell, Hugh Chisholm and Joe Popovitch. Sadly, Linda Felix wasnt able to make it today. The award was created during the 2012 Halifax mayoralty election when a candidate for council was overheard referring to the Tuxedo Party as a bunch of do-gooders. We liked the sound of it so we made it our official award. BTW - that candidate lost the election. :)
