Today, the country, and especially NYC, is in a state of numbness over the execution of 2 of NYPDs finest, yet at the same time expecting the bloodshed to start at some point some time soon. I never thought that I would ever see this in my lifetime. A lot of us came out of the post civil rights era watching race relations steadily improve. And now? Now we are watching the deconstruction of America. My heart is so heavy today not just for deaths of these 2 innocent men, but for the mess we have become. I dont know about you, but I am saddened and frightened. I want the cops to protect us, unencumbered by the controversies that surround us. I want for us to all to get along, black, white, and every color in between. I yearn for the America I knew back when times were less complicated by politics and more filled with promise. I dont want to rush time, but I want these scumbag politicians gone from office. What the Bob Jones will it take for us to learn? We are doomed...for history will surely repeat itself.
