Today, the first Sunday of November, is designated as Orphan Sunday. It is a day meant to bring awareness, a day to awaken the church to the orphan crisis, to the least of these. It is a day that is meant to break our hearts for the things that break the heart of God. This video is powerful. Gods heart is broken for orphans, for widows, for the least of these. We are mandated in James 1:27 to care for the orphans and the widows. We are mandated to care for the least of these. Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. ~Psalm 82:3-4 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. ~ James 1:27 We are called to be the hands and feet of Christ....God works through our hands and feet....if we arent doing it....who is? “We have a cause, but we don’t want to see it.” God, break our hearts for what breaks yours.
