Today the first person I am thankful for is Luke Canada Ballard, my oldest son. As evidenced by his FB name, he is always a goofball! He keeps us laughing constantly. he is always playing jokes on his siblings and keeping us on our toes. He is by far, the high king of the pun. We literally hear them several times a day! They make us either groan, or laugh til we cry:) He is also the hardest working young man I know, although I know several who come close in my mind. At 18, while still finishing up his high school classes, he works a full time job, a part time job, is a volunteer fireman, and performs twice a month with MWAH!. Many nights he will be out on 2 or 3 calls, get up to be to his first job by 7:00 am and work all day to be at his second job by 5:30. He still helps at home and is always eager to help anyone who needs it in any way. But, probably his most notable character quality is that he is incredibly generous. And I believe maybe that is why God blesses him with so much work. He always has an open hand to those in need, or if he just thinks that it would bless someone. I couldnt be more blessed as a mom, to see my son walk in truth. He walks out scriptural principles in his life everyday. And he helps me to be able to laugh at the days ahead as Proverbs 31 says. Luke, I love you, bud, no one can compare to you in my eyes. You have blessed me beyond measure.
