Today the importance of photos in my own life became painstakingly clear. We worked on unpacking my sons room today (who is over three and a half), and we endure the excruciating process of sorting his baby clothes and crib sets into piles to get rid of. My baby isnt a baby anymore. He will start preschool this year. Every day he loses his baby boyish features and gains more masculine features. The only memories of his babyhood I have are preserved in the photos of him. They are my most precious possessions, and will become even moreso in the years to come.
