Today the power went off at 10.30 AM. On complain the power company we were told that power was switched off due to flood in polo. It was still raining. When rain abated at 3 PM we went to c the flood , but the water had receded. Clicked some pics to still give u an idea of the extent of water level. In the third pic we can c wooden pillars to our right. The water had crossed these pillars. We can still c floating polythene bags left behind by receding waters. We cud c some polythenes wrapped around the poles. Tha Nehru Stadium was still waterlogged n morning Independence Day program was apparently washed out. We presumed PB program wud b a washout as well but were happy to c hundreds of enthusiastic youths taking part in the ongoing quiz. It was umbrellas as far as we cud c. Not at all bad for a day preceded by three days of heavy rains n it was still raining moderately . Rain hasnt stopped yet. Cheers to the spirit of nationalism see after many years. Things started changing last year. May it continue in the same spirit n get stronger from now onwards. đ·đ·đ·
