Today the second to the last day of the 18th AMA Championship!! It does get more and more exciting as we the masters athletes perform our duty to our respective countries... I felt so honoured n proud of our dear Juliana yet again running her PB at 100m!! N watchin her run absolutely not surprised she brought glory to our country, beloved Malaysia!! Creating a NAR New Asian Record - W50-54 -100m - 13.77 seconds This is so exciting! So a total of 2 Golds, 2 Silvers n 5 Bronze! Only one male athlete secured a medal, a bronze. As for myself... I am so excited to announce here that I hv ran n achieved a new post surgery Personal Record/Personal Best! (Attention Kian Ming) I hv been trying since 2012 to no avail.. hovering around 24:00 n improved only to 23:53 at 1 June 14 at 28th MIOMAC Championship. I am so pleased to say I managed to shave off 48 seconds! 5000m - W50-54 - 23:05:97 Ranking - 6th out of 13 (My watch show a 23:09 bcoz of the over distance I press stop 4 seconds late) Ranking in the heat by grouping of one whole group running together - W35-59 years old - 15th out of 36 runners NOTE - ALL the top 5 runners b4 me were exactly the same runners as yesterdays 1500 runners. They r way too strong for me TEMPORARILY except for top 2 runners... why temporarily?? I trust I can run even better results very soon. That I know for sure! Thats all for now! Back to serious training for Chicago Marathon. N with this new PB I am so lookin forward to my 4th Grand Slam top 6 marathon..
