Today the voice newspaper carries an interesting headline. The tabloid said they carried an opinion poll and the results are that Duma Boko of UDC is ahead with 48% followed by Dumelang Shaleshando of BCP with 29% while His Excellency General Khama is distant third with a mere 21%. According to the polls it means if national general elections were to be held today Duma Boko will surely become president of Botswana. My noble question is how reliable are opinion polls in Botswanas political landscape? Have opinion polls been proved to be true in the past lets say in parlimentary or council elections? i am of the veiw that this poll deserves some serious interrogation from my facebook comrades.
