Today was Gay Pride in Istanbul. What started it 2003 with 30 people, turned into a huge March with 30000 people last year. This year being in the middle of it, it was impossible to get any idea how many we were. But it was amazing, fun and clearly about diversity and rights for everyone in a society that becomes increasingly conservative. Slogans in Turkish, Kurdish and Armenian. Lots of straight people too and only positive vibes.
