Today was WTF Hill Challenge Day. Here are my observations: - Sometimes we act too quickly and think too little and the WTF Challenge is a typical example. Why do we do this to ourselves? - It was quite a sight to see all the riders on the hill this morning. It looked like a race at times. I though the hill was under attack. - I think my legs are female, I shouted shut up legs, they gave me a stare and ignored me. - There were many green ribbons on display, how cool was that, I even saw green ribbons on bicycles while on my way there. The green renaissance is here! - PJ Luus ended up with 30 hill repeats, that is 90km with 3,000m ascent. Big respect, he passed me more times than I have fingers on my hands, just a white blur. Several went into the 20s, amazing feats setting new benchmarks. - I think every single person on that hill this morning did more WTF repeats than ever before. How awesome is that! Give yourself a tap on the shoulder, today you pushed your boundary! Beware though, if you hang around this group long enough, it may just happen again. - Christiaan Jansen and Johan-Dawid Engelbrecht established a fort on top of the koppie and the encouragement and cold drinks got us all to do just one more lap. - Thanks Chrisi Heyman for the encouragement signs along the way up the hill. - Thank you to Plumb Tech 24/7 for their very kind and generous sponsorship as well as life saving refreshments on top of the hill. We will be in contact with the winners to arrange prize hand overs. - Please remember to log your rides on the Pretoria East MTB Strava Club so we can pick up the laps completed. - I hereby declare that on this day, the 20 of September 2014, Pretoria East MTB conquered the WTF Challenge!
