Today was Wes last day of his first round of humanized 3f8 antibody. He will continue to have blood draws daily through the 22nd in NYC. Wes continues to be handling the treatment well with the expected pain, and some slight puffiness and itching immediately following. I was told that Wes had chips and salsa today for breakfast :) The doctors want to continue to keep an eye on the pain in his feet in case he develops temporary neuropathy. On Tuesday, a day where Wes just needed blood work done, Myong and Wes were given the chance to present a check from the Band of Parents to former New York Rangers NHL Hall of Fame, Rod Gilbert for the Garden of Dreams Foundation. Daddy didnt say it, but he was a bit star struck. :) Wes and daddy have been counting down the days until they get to come home, and so have we! We talk to them every night but it would be so much better to have them with us here in VA. Wes next cycle of 3f8 has been scheduled to start September 15th and he will have scans in NYC the following week. So another (close to) two weeks in NY.
