Today was Zekes 2 month birthday. He did not let us down by giving us some excitement on this special day of two months in this world. Early this morning when I went to check on his feeding tube I noticed it was a little odd and look different than normal after closer inspection the feeding tube almost completely removed out of his stomach. When this happens you have a very short window of time to get to the hospital before the lining would close completely and he would have to have another surgery. Luckily our surgeon give us his personal cell phone number and we called him while on the way to the emergency room he directed us to instead go right to his office and he would perform the procedure for us there. Once the dressing was removed from his stomach tube it popped out very easily and when the doctor tried to insert a new tube there was a lot of pressure but we were able to get it in. It was extremely hard watching Zeke go through the pain of him putting the tube back into his stomach as it was done with no pain medication because of the urgency of the situation. All is good now, both boys are sleeping, and we are relaxing. As challenging as it has been this week we are so fortunate to have to special boys in our life. Zeke is such a tough guy and an inspiration to me every day with the courage he has.
