Today was a big day for CDOT and motorists on I-225 northbound! Weve widened I-225 northbound between Mississippi Ave. and Parker Rd. to accommodate three through-lanes plus an auxiliary lane in each direction, and the northbound direction has opened today. This removes the final northbound bottleneck and means that motorists will experience northbound lane continuity from I-25 to I-70. Work on southbound I-225 is scheduled to be complete in September 2014. Heres pictures of our resident engineer talking about the project with the media today and our folks removing cones, marking the official opening!
