Today was a bit rough on many levels. I am utterly grateful, in particular, for 3 of my single mom friends who took the time out of their own hectic and stressful lives to drop by, one-by-one and help me out. Who are these amazing, strong, capable, smart, beautiful women?!!! Wow! The first two dropped by, independent of each other to help unclog a sink. They just dropped everything and came over. Wow! They both brought tools and were ready to figure out the whole gross mess with me. The third friend came by late tonight (after she had worked all day, made dinner for her three kids, with homework still left to do tonight for her masters program) and gave me a bouquet of gorgeous sunflowers and listened to me cry and worry. Now, all I can do is cry with gratitude for these sweet girlfriends in my life! They are a reminder to me that oftentimes God takes care of us and shows us love through OTHERS. I am also reminded that even when we are busy and dealing with our own set of enormous challenges, we can still take some time to reach out and help our sisters and brothers in this world. I think that when we help others, we will always receive help back in one way or another from someone. Allison, Natalie, and Jocelin, I love you girls!!! Thank you for taking care of me today! :,)
