Today was a bittersweet day. It was my last day on the job as director of the Red Cross of Northwest Alabama. I started as a volunteer in 1987 and have been active as a volunteer or a staff member since that time. Taking the pictures off my office wall was a little tough. On the positive side, after a few days off Ill be moving to a job at American Red Cross National Headquarters. Ill really miss the daily contact with our wonderful volunteers and with the clients who need our help, but this is a new and exciting challenge. Life is full of changes . . .
