Today was a bittersweet day. On one hand I got a PB (2:21:39!!!!!!) at The Ikano Robin Hood Half Marathon and Mini Marathon and got to run a fantastic race with 2 great people. On the other hand it was my last race with a dear friend before she moves to Germany this Wednesday. Christie, has been a fantastic friend and running partner. She inspired me to sign up for my first full marathon, and even dragged me (kicking and screaming) to the Saturday group runs. She has provided me with tons of advice and encouragement, she also supplied my water for some of the long runs. Today she paced me and helped me shave 9 FULL minutes off my previous best half marathon time. I know this isnt good bye, its just see ya later. I wonder if I can convince Christopher Fisher to let me fly to Germany every Saturday for long runs.
