Today was a day I will always treasure and keep close to my heart. As many know my Nanny Glover is waiting for the trumpet to sound and her time on this earth to be no more. The wonderful nurses in ICU let all of my family gather around her in her room and we just began to pray over her for God to have His will in His time and give thanks for the time we had with her. We sang to her, and I know with everything in me, in her own mind, she was singing right along with us. As we began to disperse from the room, I reached down and kissed her on the cheek and whispered a few words in her ear and put my arm around her to hug her, as I did, she reached up and put her arm around me. In a mostly unresponsive state, I know that was God giving her the strength to do that. In such a time of mourning, as we Glovers do, after supper we gathered in the chapel and I played the piano while we sang some old Hymns, and just cried together. My family means the world to me, and knowing that I have such a loving and God fearing family, that time of worship together is something I will always hold close to my heart. We dont know how much longer Nanny has on this earth, but one thing I do know is she has a mansion, just over the hilltop, along the streets of gold...the same mansion I heard her sing about from the time I was a baby. She will walk those streets, hand in hand with my Papaw. I dont want to see her go, but I know where shes going, and I know who will be up there with her. God is still merciful and He is who I thank for today. Even in the bad times and sad time, Praise The Lord.
