Today was a first. I fell into hysterics in the treatment room. If you were there and I woke you from a healing nap, I apologize. BUT, the funniest thing happened and I couldnt stop laughing! I was taking out a patients needles, while I had an herbal lozenge in my mouth. I was kind of hunched over the person while pulling a needle and I opened my mouth to say something and the lozenge fell out into the patients lap! OMG! There it was, sitting on her fleece sweatshirt. Time slowed. I looked into the patients face, I must have been white as a ghost, but some act of grace, she smiled and didnt looked horrified. I picked up the lozenge - and started to feel the urge to laugh, but didnt want to disturb anyone. But you know how it is; when youre NOT supposed to laugh, and youre SUPPOSED to be quiet; well, I couldnt control what happened next and I lost it! I laughed so hard I turned all red, tears streaming down my cheeks... All I can say is - sorry to the patient and thanks - for being light-hearted and joining me in a great laugh this afternoon.
