Today was a fun filled day, mostly, except for the cleaning up the yard part. But I think most of the leaves are gone now and there wont be too awful many more to fall, unless they blow in from somewhere else. It started this morning at Gildas Club Louisville with a good class. We worked hard and hopefully accomplished more than we thought we did. We are doing Christmas tunes again. Tom had taught several of them last year but they are usually forgotten over the year until we get them out again in the fall. After Gildas Club, I went to the holiday craft fairs at the First Baptist Church in Fern Creek and at the high school. There werent as many vendors as there were in the past but the selection was diverse. There were lots of Jewelry and knitted item vendors. I found the primitives vendors and purchased a tree made out of repurposed pallets and a lighted something to welcome my daughter home when she comes for Christmas. No Karis, it isnt a ferret. They do not light up! Then the yard work began which wore me out completely. My back and shoulders are complaining about it tonight. I cleaned the deck, dug up summer bulbs, harvested seeds, moved some items into the garage, swept the deck at least twice because every time you finish, you turn around and find more.... I threw away a lot of junk and covered one of the chairs for the winter. I need to get several more covers for the other furniture or we are considering getting a small shed to put them in. We used to have a shed but it died a horrible death and went to the shed graveyard a couple of years ago. If the weather permits tomorrow, I will empty pots and put them in the garage. Then this evening we headed over to the Bards Town restaraunt to hear the Blind Dog String Band and had a really fun time listening to the music and then jamming with them afterward. I didnt know that Mark Webb was so bluesy, but he was singing them away. Mr. quiet, read a poem guy was rockin! And of course Molly was playing and singing away too. Mick Savkovich sawed off some great fiddle work along with the band and poor old Black Eyed Suzy went for a ride! They are a really fun band to be with and to jam with!!! It ended a little after 8, (yeah, we old people really know how to swing) and we got dessert then cruised through the Loews parking lot looking at sheds. Doesnt that sound like a really hot date? Anyway, it was a lot of fun day and it always feels good to get home and know that it was a fun day. Hope yours was too!
