Today was a good day with a step in the right direction. Mark and I spent the morning at Dr. Browns office. Tons of information and a few laughs when the Dr. gave Mark his instructions! Lol. Thankfully, my body and menstrual were exactly where they needed it be. A little unexpected, but I had to run over to his other office to begin the process right away! I will begin the self injections on Friday. We have one shot at this, so, collectively, we all agreed on the most aggressive dosage to give me the best chance of success. I cannot applaud the staff of Dr. Browns office(s) enough. These women were on top of it!! They even helped me apply for the Livestrong (yes, like Lance Armstrong. Lol) Fertility Grant that helps cancer patients alleviate the cost of medications for the IVF process. Fingers crossed for that to go through. I spent the rest of the day talking on the phone to insurance companies and the human resources department for my job. The last 5 days or so has been a complete whirlwind and sometimes when I slow down, the reality catches up to me a little. Im looking forward to being in my classroom tomorrow and seeing the athletes of Infinity Allstars. I wish there were better words to justify my love and appreciation for the continued out pour of support. There is a lot of the unknown right now, but one thing I am sure of, is the fact that I am not alone. And because of that...I am courageous. ❤️
