Today was a great honor to celebrate our local veterans and our first President of the United States of America, George Washington in the Pat Walsh Gymnasium at the R.D. Wilson School in Waymart! I would like to take this time to thank the Waymart Masonic Lodge # 542 and St. Johns Lodge #1, the caretakers of this national treasure for putting on this once in lifetime experience. Finally, a big shout out to my father, John Gaudenzi who served as a speaker today. His background as an historian, history teacher, and veteran made him the perfect person to bring George Washingtons life into color for those in attendance about how his character shaped our current military to this day more than 250 years later. Thank you to all veterans for their service to our nation!
