Today was a great reminder that we all have to appreciate our lives and never take life for granted. We need to respect and love ourselves to respect and love others who come from foreign lands and practice their own unique cultures. There is so much that we can all learn about ourselves if we all have an open mind and open heart to accept and appreciate the beauty of foreign cultures. People come to the United States of America from foreign lands because they know we are the land of the free and they are very brave to come here with absolutely nothing and they work very hard to become successful. We need to give to our people first before we can help others but many people complain about illegal immigration but they so often forget that the only real American People are the American Indians that were in America before anyone ever thought of coming over here. Many of our ancestors came here illegally too but they worked hard to earn citizenship. We are all foreigners in a new and foreign land. If it was not for our ancestors who migrated from their country of origin, we would not be here in America. Our country is everyone’s country and our world should be free for all.
