Today was a hard day. Last nights visitation and today Celebration of JLCs HomeComing. I didnt tell to many people that God had given me something to say in honor of JLC. I spoke at both my mom and dads funeral and the Lord said you will speak at JLC I prayed and asked the Lord to give me the words to say. God never fails us. He is good, all the time, God is good. I wont write all I said but the part that most people asked me to share on FB. so here is a bit of what I shared at the service today. Only Johnny Lee 1. Singing Happy Birthday on the Share a thons trying to sound like the original singer…only Johnny Lee 2. Wearing red/yellow jacket and shirt on Frances and Friends…only Johnny Lee 3. When getting to Heaven start talking to God about this white robe he must wear, saying you do remember I got saved from wearing one kinda like this, asking can’t it be of color(red, yellow, bright blue or purple), no how about some Bling Bling on it. Only Johnny Lee 4. Wearing those rose colored glasses he so loved, but I too hated them. Only Johnny Lee 5. Excited about Watching Hee Haw and then sharing all the jokes from each episode…Only Johnny Lee 6. On F.F getting so red and laughing so hard that he shook all over from a little ole lady calling in wanting to hug him like the big teddy bear he was, pinch his checks… only Johnny Lee 7. He watched a show that had someone do the fist bump, elbow bump, hip bump, turn around and point at them. He said I’m gonna learn to do that and try that on Bro. Brown. I said oh No you will not. Well one Sunday after church he came walking towards me just a smiling and said did you see it, I said see what He said I did it I did the fist bump and all with Bro. Brown. I said Oh Lord, we started walking out he said next week I’m gonna do it to Sister Frances. I stopped, looked at him and Said Have you completely lost your mind, first she will just look at you and then out of no where she’s will knock you into the next Tuesday. He just laughed sheepishly. Only Johnny Lee 8. I tried to keep him in check with what he wore out of the house, but well he always tried to get the last word, the last laugh, tickle punch. He has suits and suit jackets that I forbid him to wear. Well he may have not wore it out of the house, but as we are here today, he did get the last one on me to honor him, that purple blinging jacket is one of the ones I said he would never, ever wear. Only Johnny Lee 9. My last only Johnny lee is this From Burning the Cross….To Preaching the Cross. Only Johnny Lee Everyone says It will get better or easier, A friend told me No it gets Different Johnny Lee had an impact on thousands of people, not just with his testimony of his life, and all the sermons he preached. He would tell of the Lord to any and everyone, but he left so much more, I’m sure he did or said something to each of us that we will never forget. We will never forget his smile, his belly roll laugh, his off the wall sence of humor, love for one another, and of course his love of fashion in clothing. Johnny Lee was bigger than Life, and life couldn’t hold him I will leave you with this Cherish your loved ones, Love them, spend time with them, Never take anything for granted. Always be in right standing with the Lord. Because you never known when the Lord will take you home. Thank you God Bless
