Today was a hard day. Many of you know that I own Connect Memphis, but in addition to the role of entrepreneur, I also held down a part time job in the church. Today that job came to an end...and I cried. Not for the sake of losing the extra income (which hurts) but for losing the daily presence of people I have grown to truly care for. Perhaps God is trying to make room so that I can refocus on my business..and prepare the way for new things to come to light. It is not what happens to us, but rather our response to those situations. My faith lies in God alone, and while I could be mad...I choose to be grateful. Im grateful that in my time of need in October, I prayed a simple prayer to have a job, and God granted me that. Im grateful that in my journey I have made long-lasting friends and unbreakable bonds. I worked double hours, shared my gifts when needed, and kept my eyes on His purpose...faithful over little so that God can trust me with more. Many may believe that Connect Memphis supplies all my needs, but the life of an entrepreneur is a rising mountain..and I am still climbing. I pray that as I have invested in Memphis, that Memphis will in-turn invest in me and my business. Our Memphis in May City Box will come out soon :-)...and I hope that God will work through Memphis in giving me the ability to live a fruitful life with no financial worries. What I say here is vital, so let me say this. God has vision we cannot see, and just because things do not go the way we intend does not make room for us to be discouraged. Be faithful. Be prayerful. After today I wont cry over my finances, I wont be dismayed...today I had to know that an end is coming for a beginning to flourish. It has been my pleasure to share my gifts...and I speak it now that God will stand on His word and not allow me to need for anything and to prosper beyond what even I could conceive. Lets see what God does with me :-)
