Today was a rather unique Sunday with a few strange occurrences. Britt and I went to American eagle to make an exchange. We are on line for the cashier and there are 2 young girls and a mom being waited on in front of us. All of a sudden one of the girls hit the floor BAM and goes in to an epileptic seizure. She is flailing her legs and arms like I have never seen before. Now when I lived at home in NY I was a volunteer for Nissequsge fire department ambulance squad (I love to drive that ambulance) for many years. I have seen some gory crap for sure but, this had to be a tonic-clonic seizure which last long and can come in waves and it surely was. Now one big difference today is I am now a dad and daughters are so close to my heart having 2. Now it all kicks in make sure arms and legs are clear, get them on one side to make sure they don’t suffocate on their tongue and or vomit and restrain if needed to stop injury. So I am standing there ready to jump in and help in whatever capacity they need this is someone’s daughter. Now the mom is in front us continues paying during this seizure (just mind blowing to me). The father is holding her arms and I say is there anything you need me to help you with now?? Help restrain, call 911 carry her to the car so you can get her to the hospital whatever they would need. Nothing from them I am amazed. So when we leave a mall rent a cop was outside the store and I asked him to go in and assist they may need an ambulance. Not an everyday experience for sure.
