Today was a very momentous occasion! It marks the very first Father to the Fatherless church service in our building in Namuganga, Uganda. There have been other conferences, prayer meetings and fellowships in the building, but this was the first official church service started by our new Project Manager, Charity Tumukunde. She is a strong and amazing woman of God. She moved in (to live), to an adjoining room last Wednesday and has been a beautiful light to the community already - organizing nightly prayer meetings, rain or shine. What is amazing is that when after we first purchased the land, I remember drawing a cross on it - in this exact location. Somehow, at the time, I felt so strongly that God reserved that corner of land for a church at some point. Brian Walsh, our new Executive Director here in Uganda, also recently stated that he had had a vision that right where the building is, is where a water well should be. But perhaps, it is instead, a spot for Living Water - the kind of well which never fails. Nevertheless, Gods presence was felt this morning in this place. A peace that surpasses all understanding. Even though it was a very simple service (notice the black plastic bag for an offering basket, and simple picked flowers for decoration attached to the windows : ), it was a most beautiful and powerful service. We expect God to do mighty things here and we are looking forward to seeing His fruits. Please be praying for Charity, Brian and those serving here. The work is not easy. Thank you and God bless you.
