Today was a very sad day in my familys life....My sister, Martha, said goodbye to Charles, her husband of nearly 52 years...her life partner since the first grade in Herty Elementary school....a man with a heart of gold, a man of God, a smile for everyone, always full of love & laughter.....Charles fought his battle with cancer bravely, he fought until our good Lord called him home to rest in his loving arms.....All that knew Charles, knew him as a fair & honest man, a man that loved his family & his extended family....I can still hear him telling me I know how the story ends, because I have read the book.. We win ! & I will be with the Lord Charles is only gone from our sight, He will live on deep within our hearts, our memories....I loved him like a brother & I love my sister, I pray for strength & grace for her to get her though this time
